Every service below has a published starting price and a written list of exactly what's included.

About starting prices

Every computer, network, and business is a little different. Starting prices assume the job goes smoothly the first time: the hardware is healthy, passwords are on hand, and nothing unexpected turns up along the way. If I find something that would change the price, I'll stop, explain what I found in plain English, and get your OK before doing any additional work. You will never be surprised by the bill.

Service calls & hourly labor

How time and travel are billed. Most visits start with a service call; flat-rate packages below replace hourly billing for common jobs.

On-Site Service Call

Individuals & businesses

Travel to your home or business plus the first 30 minutes of diagnosis.

Starting at$55
What's included
  • Round-trip travel anywhere in Southeast Michigan
  • Up to 30 minutes on-site figuring out what's wrong
  • A plain-English explanation of the problem and a written price for the fix before any repair begins
Not included
  • The repair itself, billed as a flat-rate package or at the hourly rate
Good to know
  • Waived when you approve a flat-rate package during the same visit
  • Outside Southeast Michigan: travel is quoted before booking
  • If you decide not to proceed with a repair, the service call is the only charge

Remote Support Session

Individuals & businesses

Secure screen-sharing help for problems that don't need an in-person visit.

Starting at$35
What's included
  • Up to 30 minutes of hands-on remote help over a secure, one-time connection
  • No travel and no service call fee
  • Good for software questions, email and account issues, printer drivers, and slowdowns
Not included
  • Anything that needs hands on the hardware. That becomes an on-site visit
Good to know
  • After the first 30 minutes, billed at the hourly rate in 15-minute increments
  • The remote connection ends when the session ends. Nothing stays installed unless you ask

General Support (Individuals)

Individuals

For work that doesn't fit a flat-rate package: troubleshooting, training, odd jobs.

What's included
  • Wi-Fi and internet troubleshooting
  • Printer, scanner, and accessory troubleshooting
  • Email setup, password resets, and account recovery
  • One-on-one training on your computer, phone, or tablet
  • Anything else tech-related: just ask
Good to know
  • 1-hour minimum for on-site work, then billed in 15-minute increments
  • Time starts on arrival. Travel is covered by the service call

General Support (Businesses)

Businesses

Break/fix and project labor for businesses without a managed IT plan.

What's included
  • Workstation, server, and network troubleshooting
  • Microsoft 365 / Google Workspace administration
  • User onboarding and offboarding
  • Vendor coordination (ISP, phone system, line-of-business software)
Good to know
  • 1-hour minimum for on-site work, then billed in 15-minute increments
  • Managed IT clients receive a discounted rate on work outside their plan

After-Hours & Urgent Service

Individuals & businesses

Evenings, weekends, holidays, or same-day emergency response.

Flat-rate packages

Fixed prices for the jobs I do most often: computers, printers, phones, networks, and other devices. Priced per device. The service call fee is waived when you book one of these on-site.

Virus & Malware Removal

Individuals & businesses

Remove viruses, spyware, scam pop-ups, and unwanted software from one computer.

What's included
  • Full scan with multiple professional tools
  • Removal of viruses, spyware, adware, and scam/remote-access software
  • Browser cleanup: hijacked home pages, search engines, and malicious extensions
  • Cleanup of temporary files and startup programs
  • Installation of free ad-blocking protection
  • A short explanation of how it likely got in and how to avoid it next time
Not included
  • Recovering files encrypted by ransomware
  • Paid antivirus subscriptions (I'll recommend one only if you need it)
Good to know
  • If the system is too damaged to clean, I'll recommend an OS Wipe & Reload instead and credit this package toward it

Computer Tune-Up

Individuals & businesses

Speed up a slow computer without erasing anything.

Starting at$85
What's included
  • Removal of bloatware and unneeded startup programs
  • All pending Windows/macOS and driver updates installed
  • Drive health check (warns you before a failing drive loses your files)
  • Disk cleanup and browser cleanup
  • Written recommendation if an upgrade (SSD or RAM) would help more than a tune-up
Not included
  • Virus removal
  • Parts or hardware upgrades

New Computer Setup

Individuals & businesses

Unbox it, set it up, and have it ready to use the same day.

What's included
  • Unboxing and connecting cables, monitor, keyboard, and mouse
  • Windows or macOS first-time setup and all updates
  • Removal of pre-installed trial software (bloatware)
  • Web browser, one printer, and up to 3 free programs of your choice installed
  • Connecting to your Wi-Fi and signing in to your email
Not included
  • Moving files from your old computer (see Data Transfer)
  • Installing paid software you don't already have a license for

Data Transfer

Individuals & businesses

Move your photos, documents, and settings from an old computer to a new one.

Starting at$95
What's included
  • Documents, pictures, music, videos, desktop, and downloads folders
  • Browser bookmarks and saved passwords (where the browser allows it)
  • Up to 250 GB of data from one working computer to one new computer
  • A check with you afterward to confirm everything important made it over
Not included
  • Reinstalling programs, billed hourly, since each one is different
  • Recovering data from a dead or failing drive (see Data Recovery)
Good to know
  • Over 250 GB: $25 per additional 250 GB

OS Wipe & Reload

Individuals & businesses

Erase and reinstall Windows for a like-new, clean start.

What's included
  • Complete erase of the drive
  • Fresh install of Windows (using your existing license) and all updates
  • All hardware drivers installed
  • Web browser and up to 3 free programs of your choice installed
Not included
  • Backing up your files first. Add Data Transfer if you need them saved
  • A Windows license if the computer doesn't already have one
Good to know
  • Best for very slow, heavily infected, or hand-me-down computers

SSD Upgrade

Individuals & businesses

Replace an old hard drive with a solid-state drive, usually the biggest speed boost available.

What's included
  • Installing the new solid-state drive
  • Copying (cloning) everything from your old drive, so it looks and works the same, just faster
  • Your old drive returned to you
Not included
  • The drive itself. I'll quote the part up front, or you can supply one
Good to know
  • If the old drive is failing and can't be cloned, a fresh OS install is included at no extra cost

Printer & Scanner Setup

Individuals & businesses

Get a printer or scanner working on your network and on every device that needs it.

What's included
  • Unboxing and physical setup of one printer or scanner
  • Connecting it to your Wi-Fi or network
  • Setting it up on up to 3 computers, phones, or tablets
  • A test print and scan from each device
Not included
  • Repairing printer hardware (paper jams inside the unit, broken parts)

  • Each additional device: $15

Wi-Fi & Home Network Setup

Individuals

Set up or replace your router so the whole house has reliable, secure Wi-Fi.

What's included
  • Setup of one router or a mesh system with up to 3 units
  • Secure Wi-Fi name and password, updated firmware, and admin password changed from the default
  • Placement advice to eliminate dead spots
  • Connecting up to 5 of your devices
Not included
  • Equipment. I'll recommend what to buy, or you can supply your own
  • Running cable through walls, quoted separately

Phone & Tablet Setup

Individuals

Set up a new phone or tablet and move everything over from the old one.

  • First-time setup of one iPhone, Android phone, or tablet
  • Transfer of contacts, photos, messages, and apps from your old device

  • A walkthrough of the basics, at your pace

TV & Streaming Setup

Individuals

Smart TV, streaming stick, soundbar, or smart home device, connected and working.

What's included
  • Setup of one TV or streaming device plus one connected accessory (soundbar, receiver, etc.)
  • Connecting to Wi-Fi and signing in to your streaming apps
  • Simplifying remotes and input settings
Not included
  • Wall mounting
  • Streaming subscriptions

  • Additional devices on the same visit: $25 each

Data Recovery

Individuals & businesses

Recover files from a drive that won't boot, was accidentally erased, or was formatted.

Starting at$150
What's included
  • Evaluation of the drive and an honest read on your chances before work begins
  • Recovery of files from drives that still spin up and are detected
  • Recovered files returned on a USB drive or your new computer
Not included
  • Physically damaged drives (clicking, dropped, water damage), referred to a clean-room lab
  • The USB drive used for delivery, if you don't supply one
Good to know
  • No files recovered = no recovery charge (service call still applies on-site)
